My Tiny Poem “Saturday Adoption Event at the Local Shelter”

SATURDAY ADOPTION EVENT AT THE LOCAL SHELTER

An abandoned
Chihuahua. Eight
years old. Just
another senior.
Unwanted. “He’s
mine,” I say.
And now he is.
