Great news!! I'm happy to announce Impspire will be publishing my next novella, ADDICTED TO DOG MAGAZINES. The launch date is set for May 14, 2023. Very exciting!! Okay. So what's this one about?  Darlene is addicted to dog magazines, even though she's never had a dog and has no plans to adopted one. Oh, and did I mention she has an imaginary dog, Max?  Yeah, Darlene is quite a character. lol!! Many thanks to Impspire's amazing editor, Steve Cawte, for giving this sweet, empowering, wacky novella such a great home!!  

Great news!! I'm happy to announce I just signed a contract with Prolific Pulse Press to publish my latest novella, THE GOOD DOG, to be released in March 2023. So exciting!! You'll love this wacky, empowering, humorous novella. Such a great story, and the main character's dog, Walter, is adorable!! When I have more news about this awesome book, I'll let you know.  Stay tuned...!! 

Writing, writing, writing!! I'm having a blast working on my current novella. Oh, how I love writing novels! I've been doing it for 19 years, and it's truly my fav literary form. Because of that, I know I've been rather quiet this month. I'm sorry. But now you know why. I've just been having too much fun working on this new book! Okay, here's an update so far. The first 1000 words of this new novella have already been entered in several competitions. Winners, finalists, and the short list should be announced by late summer and early fall. This week I'm working on the next section of the book. Hopefully, I'll finish that in a few days. My plan is for this new novella to be chapbook-size like DOG DAZED. But I'm only halfway through at this point, so that could change. It all depends on what my characters want. And you know me. My characters rule! Now for the big question. Great news!! My flash fiction collection THE WAY OUT: 40 EMPOWERING STORIES will be published by Alien Buddha Press !!!  This is a collection of 39 flash fiction stories and one novella. Some are humorous. Some are serious. Some are heartwarming. All are empowering in one way or another. There's definitely something for everyone in this powerful collection.  My editor (Red) and I have been working on the inside text and the cover for the last week, and here's what we have so far. Isn't this the most beautiful cover ever?! Red is amazing when it comes to book design. I gave him a photo of the wild pink roses in my gardens, he did his psychedelic hippie thing to it, and look at it now. WOW! Absolutely stunning. The book will be published by the end of this month. Today my new novella, IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RIDE: CAT MANIA is in the "Spotlight" on the   Cozy With Books Blog.  Many thanks to Esther and her fantastic book review blog for this honor.   Here's the cover for my new novella IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RIDE: CAT MANIA. Isn't it gorgeous?!!! The publisher and I have worked like crazy the last two weeks on final edits, text layout, and the cover design (which includes blurbs for the back cover). And now it's finished.  Since the novella is about a cat rescue lady, we felt there should be a cat on the cover. I sent him pics of my cats as possible models, and he chose this one of Jeremiah. I absolutely LOVE all the psychedelic colors he used, don't you?  And the back cover is fuchsia. He had no idea that's my favorite color. Amazing!  Enjoy this beautiful cover. Before you know it you'll have the book in hand. It launches in two days...September 4th! 

WOW!!!! I just received fantastic news. My novella IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RIDE: CAT MANIA has been accepted for publication by Alien Buddha Press!!!  I'm thrilled and honored to be a member of the ABP family of authors now. It's a fabulous literary small press, and much to my delight it's also located in South Carolina. What a treat!  I signed the contract today and don't know many details yet. But I do know the novella will be available on Amazon, and you'll be able to order signed copies from me. When I know more, I'll post it here.  But until then I'm celebrating!! This news truly made my year for me!!
