My Flash Fiction Story "Stoplight" Featured in "Squawk Back"

My flash fiction story STOPLIGHT just went live in the prestigious "Squawk Back" literary magazine. Wow, what a week this has been! Out of the blue I received an invitation from the editor to submit. I did. And STOPLIGHT was accepted for the November issue. What an honor it is to be included in this awesome literary journal. I'm a very grateful woman this week. My Flash Fiction Story "When Rothko Called Brenda, or Something Like That" Featured in "The Daily Drunk"

Holy moly! My flash fiction story WHEN ROTHKO CALLED BRENDA, OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT just went live in The Daily Drunk pop culture literary magazine. I can't help it. I laughed like crazy when I saw the illustration for this one. Never in a million years did I ever expect to see something like this. What a hoot!!!! Okay, get ready for another of my wacky short stories. And, hey, they've got some great art on Etsy. They really do. I've bought quite a few pieces that way. But still. Even the most talented artists on Etsy would admit nothing beats a Rothko. Enjoy!!   WHEN ROTHKO CALLED BRENDA, OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT  – THE DAILY DRUNK (dailydrunkmag.com)

My Flash Fiction Story "Mala Beads" Featured in "Punk Noir Magazine"

What an incredible Friday this is turning out to be! Three of my short stories were accepted today by the gorgeous lit mag, Roi Faineant Press .  And my flash fiction story MALA BEADS just went live in Punk Noir Magazine!  I'd have to say this is one of my favorite stories. Unlike many of my stories, this is not a humorous one. The subject of how to cope with the slow destruction of a loved one due to addiction is always heart wrenching.  Because of that, I love how this story ends and the hope it offers the family and friends of addicts. Plus, I love the illustration the editor used for this story. She actually found a great pic of some mala beads. Beautiful! Enjoy and happy reading! Mala beads by Laura Stamps – Punk Noir Magazine

My Flash Fiction Story "Petco" Featured in "The Daily Drunk"

My wacky flash fiction story PETCO just went live today in The Daily Drunk literary magazine! Sometimes, in order to create a new and improved "you," sacrifice is required. At those times you just have to bite the bullet, do the right thing, and forge ahead. Even if you have serious doubts about the outcome. Even if you think Plan A was a better option.  Then at least you'll know you gave it your best shot. You tried. And, hey, that's all you can do, right? lol!!! Enjoy this crazy story!
